Comfortable cut-resistant material with Galvorn

Current cut-resistant fabrics are often heavy, stiff, and complicated to wear, and uncomfortably insulating. Safety protection is only as good if you're wearing it. Galvorn fibers have superior cut-resistance, outperforming fiberglass, Kevlar, and Dyneema in scientific studies. And its thermal conductivity can help dissipate heat away from the body.

These cut resistant fibers also offer superior comfort: they are light weight, soft, extremely flexible, and cooling. Galvorn is promising solution for cut-resistant textiles that feel good to wear.

KEY BENEFITS

Highly cut-resistant

Studies and tests have repeatedly shown that Galvorn fibers out-perform Kevlar, Dyneema, fiberglass, and more. But the power of Galvorn is always in its combination of high-performance properties.

Lightweight strength

With a density of 1.6 g/cm3 Galvorn carbon nanotube (CNT) fibers are also super lightweight. The fibers have a a strength of 3 GPa and a tenacity of 2 N/tex. These supple yarns promise performance and comfort.

Soft, flexible, and cooling

When you touch Galvorn fabric, it has the feel and flexibility of silk. Its thermal conductivity can also help dissipate heat from the body. The carbon nanomaterial comfortably offers protection from cuts.

Galvorn fibers outperformed Kevlar, Dyneema, fiberglass, and more

Researches use Galvorn fibers in this study. They found that the fiber has superior cut resistance. Greater than Kevlar, Dyneema and even glass fibers.

The energy dissipation of Galvorn CNT fibers per unit mass outperformed organic and inorganic fibers currently on the market. Specifically, CNT fibers were 2.4 times better than other fibers when indented by a razor blade at 6.35 m/s.

This super scientific test proves you can't cut Galvorn with an ax (not so for Kevlar).

In our extremely scientific test, this Lumberjack puts an ax to Galvorn yarn and Kevlar. Though the ax cut the white Kevlar yarn, it did not cut Galvorn yarn.

Corrosion and UV resistant

ocean-corrosion-resistant

Some cut-resistant materials can perform well initially, but corrode over time. UV, extreme heat, and other harsh environmental realities present real challenges. Those that use cut-resistant clothing and gear need it to be durable. Protective clothing and protective gear above all need to be reliable.

Galvorn is pure carbon. Unaffected by UV and resistant to extreme temps—Galvorn does not burn or melt.

Galvorn promises a new generation of cut-resistant clothing and gear

Our highly cut-resistant fibers offer a promising improvement on the cut-proof fabrics currently available on the market. Whether woven standalone, or blended with other textiles Galvorn is on a track to level-up cut-resistant standards. Galvorn cut proof-cloth can play a significant role in reducing cut injuries. Whether for cut-resistant gloves, ice hockey gear, industrial personal protective equipment (PPE), and more.
