DexMat Signs Joint Development Agreement with Tier 1 Global Wire & Cable Manufacturer

First formal development agreement in the manufacturer channel signals Galvorn has cleared rigorous technical standards at one of the world's leading wire and cable companies.

Houston, Texas — June 25, 2026 — DexMat, the Houston-based advanced carbon materials company behind Galvorn, today announced it has signed a non-exclusive Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with a Tier 1 global wire and cable manufacturer. As DexMat's first formal development agreement in this specific manufacturer channel, this partnership marks a critical milestone in Galvorn's path to large-scale commercial adoption: it has cleared the technical bar required by one of the most demanding manufacturers in the industry.

This agreement comes at a time when copper faces two compounding problems. Supply from announced mining projects will fall 30 percent short of demand by 2035, according to the International Energy Agency. And across aerospace, defense, industrial automation, and data center infrastructure, engineers are already hitting copper's physical limits—on weight, strength, and flexibility—independent of supply. Manufacturers aren't waiting for a supply crisis to act. They're responding to performance constraints they're living with today.

"Our customers come to us because they've hit performance limits, “ said Bryan Hassin, Co-Founder and CEO of DexMat. “This manufacturing partner gets that, and they get what it takes to deliver performance at scale. A manufacturer of this caliber doesn't commit to co-developing next-generation products  unless they believe it will unlock significant value. That's why this matters: it's not just a validation of Galvorn, it's an early proof point that advanced carbon materials have a clear pathway to industrial scale adoption."

DexMat supplies Galvorn as a semi-finished material: fiber, yarn, and film. For DexMat, this partnership provides wire and cable expertise and a pathway to reaching end-use customers looking for high-performance wire and cable. For the manufacturer, the partnership provides early access to a material that no competitor currently offers at commercial scale — and the opportunity to be first to market with Galvorn-based cable products. End-users pushing the limits of lightweighting and seeking Galvorn-based cables engage through a manufacturing partner or work directly with DexMat to identify the right one.

As a key differentiator from conceptual alternatives, Galvorn is currently in commercial production and shipping globally from DexMat's Houston facility. It delivers mass-normalized conductivity comparable to copper at a fraction of the weight, with greater strength than steel, and with customers across aerospace, space, defense, and industrial manufacturing actively developing applications with Galvorn.

The non-exclusive structure of the agreement allows DexMat to pursue additional manufacturer partnerships in parallel as it scales the adoption of Galvorn advanced carbon material globally.
