What do you need to start working with Galvorn?
A sharp coated blade, a way to hold the material under tension, and the termination method that fits your product form. Galvorn ships as fiber tow, twisted yarn, braided yarn, fabric, and film, and each one is handled a little differently. How to cut Galvorn
Cutting is the first question most new users ask. These methods come from DexMat's own production floor, and the Galvorn Guide covers them in more detail.
- Use a razor blade, ideally coated (titanium nitride or similar) to slow oxidation, and change blades often.
- Cut under tension, or with the material bound by tape, glue, or its insulation.
- Cut against a soft backer, such as a cutting board.
- For precise cuts on film and fabric, laser trimming works where a blade is harder to control.

Scaling up
From samples to production
The methods above work at the bench and on the line. When you move to automated wire processing, such as measuring, cutting, stripping, or crimping machines, DexMat tunes the yarn's stiffness with you so it runs cleanly on your equipment. Use crimp tools with adjustable or calibrated dies rather than dies made for a range of copper sizes, and keep any insulation process inside Galvorn's temperature limits, which the Galvorn Guide gives.
Galvorn yarn also knits, weaves, and embroiders on standard textile equipment. DexMat supplies insulated yarn on request and ships lengths from meters to kilometers.

Galvorn is sold in five forms, and the right one depends on what you're building. Each store page lists sizes and properties, and special orders are available for sizes and constructions not in the store.
