Yeti Acoustics is Redefining High-Fidelity Signal Transmission with Galvorn®

SNAPSHOT

How Yeti Acoustics Leveraged Galvorn® to Build the World’s First Linear Carbon Signal Cable

Key Advantage: Linear impedance, multi-property performance, and a production-ready form factor.

  • Partner: Yeti Acoustics
  • Industry: Signal Wire & Cable / Consumer Electronics
  • Application: Linear audio interconnect cable

THE CHALLENGE

Every Conductor Has a Ceiling

Yeti Acoustics set out to build a cable that could transmit a signal without compromise — no frequency coloration, no impedance drift, no performance tradeoffs across the spectrum. The problem was the same one that confronts engineers across aerospace & defense, data centers, and automotive: traditional metallic conductors have a physical ceiling.

Silver and copper, while conductive, introduce weight, oxidation vulnerability, and what Yeti’s team describes as an inherent “sonic signature” — frequency-dependent behavior they observed coloring the signal. Earlier attempts with standard carbon failed to meet the combined electrical and mechanical requirements for high-performance signal cable.

Yeti needed a material that could deliver the electrical performance of metal while eliminating its compromises — a combination legacy materials make structurally impossible.

THE SOLUTION

Galvorn® — Linear and Strong

Their proprietary cable design combined with the integration of Galvorn®, enabled Yeti Acoustics to moved beyond the limitations of metallic conductors. The same properties that make Galvorn the right choice for Yeti’s precision cable are the properties that matter in any demanding signal wire application — from aerospace & defense wiring to high-speed data center interconnects:

  • True Linear Impedance: Galvorn’s impedance remains constant regardless of frequency — a critical performance attribute for signal integrity in any application where waveform distortion is unacceptable. This linearity is what enables a truly “transparent” signal cable, and it’s the same property demanded by aerospace communications, automotive sensor networks, and high-speed data links.
  • Exceptional Strength-to-Weight: Unlike fine silver strands that can be brittle, Galvorn’s high tensile strength produces a robust, fatigue-resistant cable. Weight reduction and durability without compromise — among the defining design challenges in aerospace & defense and automotive wire and cable applications.
The Collaboration

From Lab to Production

“We got a lot of information through DexMat,” says Thijs Jaring, Owner of Yeti Acoustics. “It made it a lot easier to get to our product.”

DexMat works closely with customers throughout the application development process — providing material expertise, integration guidance, and proactive problem-solving to accelerate time-to-product.

The Results: Production-Ready, Globally Recognized

  • World-Class Signal Performance: Yeti’s Galvorn-based cable has been recognized by independent reviewers as among the best-performing signal cables in the world — a validation of Galvorn’s technical edge in real-world use.
  • Ease of Integration: Yeti rated Galvorn as “Easy” to incorporate into their manufacturing process — a meaningful proof point for scalability.
  • 10/10 Customer Satisfaction: Yeti Acoustics gave Galvorn a perfect satisfaction rating, validating both the material performance and the DexMat partnership model.

Why This Matters Beyond Audio

Signal cable is signal cable. The properties Yeti Acoustics validated — linear impedance across the full frequency spectrum, strength without brittleness, and a form factor that integrates cleanly into a production process — are not unique to audio. They are the baseline requirements of any wire and cable application where signal integrity, weight, and durability cannot be traded off against each other.

What Yeti proved in a precision audio environment is directly transferable. Galvorn’s performance advantages over copper and silver are a function of material physics, not application. Engineers in aerospace & defense, data centers, and automotive working on demanding signal wire and cable challenges are working with the same constraints Yeti faced — and the same solution is available to them.
