Galvorn Carbon Nanotube Fabric

Galvorn carbon nanotube (CNT) fabric is highly conductive and made from interlocking loops of Galvorn CNT yarn. This 3×3 inch sample is readily available, but we offer custom sizes as well. You can place a special order via our Contact Us page, select the “Special Order” drop-down option. 

Galvorn yarns behave like a textile. You can sew, weave, knit, and even blend it with other textiles to achieve your application goals. You can modify the yarn and/or knit to adjust the suppleness of the fabric.

The CNT fabric is suitable for use in a variety of applications. E-textile electrodes and heated garments take advantage of Galvorn’s conductive properties in particular. Cut-resistant fabrics and ballistic protection clothing can benefit from Galvorn’s high strength, as noted in this study. The fabric form factor is also suitable for the manufacturing of CNT fiber re-inforced composites.

Description

As it is an advanced carbon material, Galvorn carbon nanotube yarns do not burn, melt, or corrode. Though highly flexible, this is a non-stretch fabric and has the following mechanical properties:

  • Fabric Thickness: 0.43 ± 0.04 mm
  • Sheet Resistance : 0.038 ± 0.02 Ω/sq
  • Aerial Density : 138 ± 5 gsm
  • Dimensions: 2.8" x 2.8" or 7.1 cm x 7.1 cm

Electrical properties and thermal properties depend on the fiber or yarn you select to construct the fabric.
